Hello doctor my son is 8 months old I can see he is in teething stage his jaw are very strong from few day he is plugging his ear sometimes he is crying for few minutes while plugging his ear from yesterday he is coughing and blocked nose with slight runny nose do teething cause runny nose and cough

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. yes it can be due to strong muscles and gums. teeth eruption can make baby cranky as it s painful . Drooling saliva , hard gums , and a cranky baby are signs. Can massage baby gums well for ease. Can use teether silicon or wooden for baby . Maintain hygeine of teether .
Can be given vitamin d3 from birth till 1 year of age 1 ml 400 IU or 0.5 ml if 800 IU daily .
