Q.

Hello doctor, my son is 8 month completed. His birth weight was 2.510 kg and now he is 6.2 kg ,is it a normal weight ? Also he doesn't start to crawling and can't sit without support. Is there is a need to consult a doctor??

A. a baby will start Sitting with support by 6 months of age and by 7 to 8 months baby will sit without support than by 9 months usually baby crawls and in 10 months baby will stantd with support. After 12 to 15 months baby will start Walking independently and sometimes it may take even lonrger but in no case any Walker should be avoided as it can cause recurrent fall injury and delay in the walking because the child lacks confidence of walking independently.

A. Yash, Iron is quite underweight by the age of six months. Your child should I be in some way round 62 6 1/2 KG is so right now. Looking at the current weight of. Yo China would definitely see. The child is quite underweight. You can take an advice from, Soma paediatrician or a nutritionist once
