Hello Doctor..my son is 5 yrs 9 months old..He is suffering from fever and dry cough. I have been to Doctor yesterday however the medication which was been prescribed is not working..His dry cough is not getting reduce. Can you plz prescribe a medicine which is best for dry cough..

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. it will take time for the medication to work better consult your doctor if it's not helping Cough give ambrolite and ambroxol as prescribed by your doctor give saline nasal drops and steam with baby rub avoid exposure to cold weather keep a track on urine output maintain

Brozeet this is for dry cough you can use this medicine bottle I would suggest you to give the medicine suggested by the doctor at least for minimum three days maybe the congestion is more which is why going to take time to settle down just suddenly do not jumped on other medicine
