hello doctor my son is 4 months old he is sneezin 4 to 5 times continuously doctor advised to give 0.5 ml of cold flu AF syrup 3 times a day but in the syrup cover it is mentioned to give only 0.1 ml please suggest me how to give my baby weight is 5.5 please help me doctor thank you

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is tgrhere paracetamol can be givfen to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
