Q.

Hello Doctor My son is 4 and half months old and not poop for 4-5 days and some time more than 5 days...he is only taking breastfeeding what is the reason and how to solve this? is this issue or normal? He doesn't have any other issue sleeps well plays well urinating without issue...so help me in clarifying about the poop issue...

A. Hello Doc thanks for your kind advice his urine is fine...and my concern is that pooping is not happening for more than 5 days is that fine if he is urinated or he need to poop everyday? How to overcome this doc

A. urinary pattern in small children is totally different. they may pass more than 20 times pegr day urine also and sometimes they will pass urine again and again in only one hour. the minimum requirement would be more than 7 times in 24 hocurs. if it is less give more breast feeding or milk and if it is more no need to worry if the child is not having any other complaint.

A. good afternoon it is very common for small children to be having constipation I would recommend you to try to put coconut oil in the rectum of the child to make sure that the baby is able to pass motion
