Q.

hello doctor my son is 3yrs 3months old, he was having severe cough from 2weeks we consulted paediatrician n doctor said he has upper respiratory infection n has given levolin repusules for nebulization and xyzol syrup for 3days. after using this the cough had reduced only had night time coughing, now again from past 3days he is coughing I gave him chericough syrup, can I continue with the same syrup for few more days or should I nebulize him. till how many days can we give him cough syrup.

A. yes can continue for few days more whenever you are taking any medicine which has been given by your doctor you have to wait and watch for three days and follow the instructions given by the doctor and if there is no improvement after three days then take a follow up. so kindly take a follow up with your doctor who will tell you whether any change in medicine or any other investigation is needed or not .
