Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age
then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age .
just matke the child comfortable and do more interaction trwith the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly.
if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
Author of questionMom of a 6 yr 11 m old boy3 years agoA. I have been doing it. And he does try to say something in same tone, but he just doesn’t say it clearly. Like, if I say Johnny Johnny rhyme. He would answer me Yes/No. and will next time take my role and say Johnny Johnny, where I will have to say Yes/No accordingly. But his speech isn’t clear. Other milestones he has reached on or before time. But I am so worried for him in this case where he isn’t speaking clearly.

Talk directly to your toddler, even if just to narrate what you're doing.Use gestures and point to objects as you say the corresponding words. ...Read to your toddler. ...Sing simple songs that are easy to repeat.Give your full attention when talking to them.
