hello doctor my son is 2years old ,in this pandemic situation many people suggest that to get vitamin d as a tablet but my doubt is its better to get through sunlight and my main query is that my son complexion is fair,to get vitamin d from sunlight which is the best time to get and how much time we need to spend time in sunlight.thank you in advance

A. The study found that an exposure of as low as about 30 minutes per week with about 40% of the child's body exposed to sunlight can help achieve adequate vitamin D status at six months of age. The researchers also found that the ideal time to have a sunbath is between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
