Hello doctor My son is 1 year old now. In this 1 year he has fallen from bed 7 times but everytime he was fine after 5 minutes. Will this affect his brain kr development of brain in future?

ahalya gundaMom of a 2 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. hello doctor.my baby was 7 months old.He has fallen down from hands he cried a lot .It took approximately half hour to calm my baby but now he is ok I think eating food ,playing like everyday. He has a little swell on the brain. should I take him to hospital?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurhurent fall injury for a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also tegeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .
