Q.

Hello Doctor, My son is 1 year old and there are dengue infection is more in our area. What all precautions I can take at home to safeguard baby.

A. it is important to prevent mosquito bite by using other mosquito nets and the second option would be mosquito repellent vaporizer. there are also available cloth roll on. you can apply mosquito repellent cream on the skin if it is not causing any allergy. make the child wear full clothes to decrease the chances of bite and if a bite occurs you can apply coconut oil to decrease the sensationx. also can use atarax anti itch lotion/ ritch lotion to decrease itching.

A. Make sure there is no clean water accumulated because dengue mosquitoes take bath from there only further more I would recommend you to give healthy diet to the child avoid giving outside food to the special food to the child and give more of water and start with multivitamin supplement for the time being
