hello doctor, my son got dtp 1, mr2 vaccines today, fever pain and swelling is there he can't move his leg, he is crying so much , shal I gave him p- stat suspension? 1ml is enough? pls suggest

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximsum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beysond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
