Q.

Hello doctor... My paediatric found some sound in my baby's heart and asked me to check via Echo... As a result they found some tiny hole in my baby's heart named as ASD 8mm.... They consoled me by assuring it will cure by as its own so nothing to worry... Is it true? I am very much worried about this... pls help me doctor...

A. Hello, your baby girl is 3 months old and if she has a small VSD then don’t worry if any hole less than 3 mm is going to heal on it’s own otherwise consult with cardiologist

Q. My son was born on 5th May 2021 and a VSD whole was found in his heart. Doctors conducted surgery after 3 months and closed the heart (it is cured and kid do not have any issues related to whole in heart now) however after one month of closing heart we went for checkup and found new issue. there was leakage in his heart walve and Doctors could not found the root cause, they started medication from june 2021 and we did check up again in Feb 2022 and found the leakage was now moderate vs severe last time. age at the time of surgery - 3 Months current age - 11 months 13 days. my Ask - Now that Doctors found the leakage was healing which is moderate now compared to last time which was severe. Will this get cure after few months ? Will it come back again ? and why did it happened?
