Hello Doctor my one year old baby is suddenly getting high fever. yest she had motions 6 times and once vomiting. I gave her calpol drops but still the fever isn't coming down. please help me

Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any ingflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required

If The fever is not coming down then you can start doing cold sponging immediately that is going to help in bringing down the fever also maybe a child is in the process of having its teeth which is why your child has suddenly got fever or it could be due to seasonal change
