Q.

Hello Doctor...my new born is 6 weeks old...trying hard to poop sometimes while feeding and crying a lot as the motion is not coming out..does the food am taking makes him hard to poop? what can be the instant solution to relieve him from pain?

A. constipation in small babies lesser than 6 month of age is very common and is more common when you are giving formula feeding in such a case you can give Himalaya bonnisan drops three times a day to your child and give frequent feeding usually medicines or suppositories are avoided in such a case and constipation of few days can be considered as norm hual. if the baby is having gastric pain you can give collimax drops.if you need to give any enzyme preparation to your child you can consult doctor
