Q.

hello doctor, my kid is 7.10 years old. previously she had constipation problem. since one month it has improved a lot as she is eating all the veggies, fruits and enough water. but since a week she is complaining pain in her anus after pooping. what it could be?? looking forward for your opinion. thanks

A. Constipation is usually a very common problem seen in many where the most important causative factor is decrease intake of fiber rich diet along with lesser fluid intake. some food like junk food mostly containing maida and oily food can aggravate such condition. Here the diet modification should be tried first so encourage fibhre diet give fruits and vegetable . Avoid excess of cows or buffalo milk and maida containing food . Medications like lactulose , milk of magnesia and Peg (muout ) powderare used . In emergency situation soap water with finger stimfulation in rectal area and glycerine suppository can be tried .
