Hello Doctor, My kid is 1month old and she is crying alot from a week. When we consult the doctor, we got Cefpodoxime oral syrup. Can we use this for this small kid, I believe the syrup is antibiotic. Please let me know your advice

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Crying of a Baby is mostly because of infantile colic and gas related discomfort which is there commonly in night . It can be relieved by medicine like colicaid or gastica drops containing dil oil and feniel oil wigguth semethicone. other reasons could be hunger any illness, nasal blockage, ear pain, diaper rash and sometimes more conditions which needs to be ruled out and managed accordingly .
