Hello doctor. my dkid 5 yrs old.. he suffering fever from 3 days .. he didn't take food from three days fever also 103..meffkind syrup using pls suggest...every month fever came from Jan Feb mar what happen doctor.. what's the reason....pls reply my message every month fever doctor from Jan Feb mar

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine goutputg monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

Try to include .best immunity rich foods are. give carrots regularly, include to give a vegetable and fruit everyday. Add garlic and ginger to daily food.Green leafy vegetables. Oats, Wheat, Egg, Fish, More of citrus fruits, Nuts, Mushroom Chicken soup, CabbagePlenty of water, Brown rice, Broccoli, Sweet potatoes, Give vitamin supplements by checking with your doctor if required On time vaccination is also important to give your kid
