Q.

Hello doctor. My daughter is suffering from UTI. She also had UTI 4months back. After the urine culture report, Doctor has prescribed Agmentin duo(amoxicillin 200+clavulanic acid 28.5 per 5ml) to be given 2.5ml twice daily. Its been two days since the start of the antibiotic but still no improvement. Please help

A. With UTI improvement is little slow only because it is a major infection that your child is suffering from from my side I’m just going to recommend you to give more of fluids to the child that helps a lot and flowing out the infection also maintain proper hygiene into the intimate area of the child and make sure that you know you’re doing everything properly because sometimes it is due to unhygienic habits control controlling of urine for a longer time and other issues associated can lead to UTI very frequently
