Hello Doctor, My daughter is 8 years old, she has a lot of cough and she is not able to cough it out.how to get phlegm out from throat. Regards

A. sir, She doesn't have fever. She has cough only. Last year she had pneumonia, so she was admitted to the hospital.

A. This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes around child. For cold / running nose give syp allegra 5 ml twice daily to the child. (Helps in decreasing running nose and cold) Prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal congestion and block. For wet coughing you can give syrup axscoril LS 5ml twice daily to the child Indirect steam help in decreasing coughing For fever and pain give paracetamol Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with watder combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day. Give warm water to drink.
