Q.

Hello Doctor. My daughter has turned 8 months old this week but she is still not able to sit without support. Is it normal or should we worry about this?

A. Timelines for milestones differ from baby to baby. However, if your baby can't hold the head steadily by around 4 months, or sit unsupported by 9 months, consult your pediatrician. That said, don't panic yet — every baby develops differently — some are quick while others take their time.
