Q.
hello Doctor , my child is putting his finger in his mouth a lot and he is also doing potty. Please tell me the Medicine.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. finger, thumb, hand,things insertion in the oral cavity is very normal at this stage and usually it is due to teething pain the child is experiencing along with inflammation and pain in the gums.
just maintain hygiene of the child finger as well as any type of things which goes inside the oral cavity and also try to maintain the hygiene of your finger when you are touching the hands of the child.
to decrease the teething pain you can press the gums of the child and if the c4hild is very irritable and crying for pain you can give paracetamol alsto.
it is a self limiting habit and no treatment is required.
but if hygiene is not maintained then dirty things going inside the oral cavity can cause infection fever vomiting and loose motions.

NikithaMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. hello it is normal with the baby at the age and it isjust exploring its body part and nothing to worry and as a baby grows it will get rid of the habit and you can also try to distract the child and it will be all fine and it is just a phase and nothing to worry
