Q.

hello doctor...my child is of 4 month now...she is having reflux problem..... doctor said to continue her medicine that is rantac 0.5 ml two times a day and domstal 1.5 ml three times a day but then she is suffering from same problem of reflux and colic too inspite of using colic aid..plz suggest what to do .. thankyou

A. gastroesophageal reflux disease also known as g e r d is very common problem in small children less than 6 months of adge and it does not have any permanent treatment and the problem decreases with increasing age of the child and the important thing is that you have to keep the child in upright position for more duration for which gerd chairs are available andg at the same time you have to continue and tested medicines given by the doctor
