hello doctor! my baby's tongue looks purple and after few hours it vanishes, and around the mouth it looks light blue and I am fear about it. could you explain why this is happening

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. black tongue can be due to iron supplements you might be giving to the child and it should get cleanedd with your clean finger. if it is not decreasindg in intensity after cleaning then you will have to rule out fungal infection of the tongue. it is advisable to get the child examine by the doctor.
