Hello doctor My baby is 3months 3weeks old..she got vaccinated yesterday it's been 34hours and she got fever and it's 99degrees I have given 2.5 ml paracetamol thrice for 6hoirs gap ..may I know how many hours still she will have fever or I should consult her doctor??? Please help me out with this

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature.
also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol.
higher medicines for for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation.
after giving fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving

Kirti ChandwalkerMom of 3 children3 years agoA. as baby is having only 99 fever you should not be worried too much and you have already given medicine for fever you should wait now give to the effect of vaccine fever has happened so it will go on its own and if it is not then you can consult doctor
