Q.

Hello doctor my baby is 1 year old,1 recently he caught diarrhea so our pediatrician suggested to stop giving milk to him after the diarrhea subsided I offered him milk he didn't want to drink ,he woke up 2 times during night so I feed him banana and instant cerelac to him if not he cried alot after he ate he peacefully go to sleep is it ok to feed at night any suggestions rather than cerelac.

A. Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroentudgyueritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment
