Q.
Hello Doctor My baby girl just 2 days back completed 2yrs.she speaks only 3 words. Pappa, mamma, thatha (grand father).she is very active dancing playing going to daycare she enjoys... In Day care also she won't spk anything.. Teachers are communicating with her very well. In home also myself and husband communicating more.. But still she won't spk.. I'm worried..pls suggest what can be done..

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children2 years agoA. If the child is uttering few words then you neednt worry. Only if the child is not at all talking then you may have to get the hearing test done.But in this case u have to keepcommunicating and just be patience. Dont force the child. Just encourage in a fun way to repeat things. Sometimes being late to speak could also be due to genetic reasons. Eventually the child will definitely talk. There is nothing to worry.
