Q.

Hello doctor my baby girl is 3 and a half years old and she is having problem of constipation ,sometimes she had 2 days gap but now she is having 4 days gap and she tried a lot on 5th day she use to cry,now what I should ,is there any problem?and what is the solution?please suggest

A. provide the child enough water to drink and give proper nutrients diet

A. The problem of constipation will decrease with proper diet modification that is plenty of water and fibre diet and try to give more papaya oats and and fennel seeds water to the child. You may have to give a course of constipation medicine to the child to stabilize the child from the pain. Constipation usually decreases with increasing age of the child and medicines give only symptomatic relief

A. You have to include fiber rich fruits and vegetables in the child's regular diet. Give plenty of water. You can give a ripe banana and raisins daily. An unripe or under ripe banana can worsen the constipation. So choose the banana carefully. Also avoid bakery products like biscuits, cookies, bread, cake etc.,
