Q.

Hello doctor, my baby girl (birth weight 3 kg) is not gaining weight. She weighs 7.5 kg now at 12 months of age. At birth she was hospitalised for neonatal hyper bilirubin. She is not feeding on solids properly since the last month. She is active n playful otherwise. I am very concerned about her weight gain. Pls advise.

A. Hello dear parent! Baby should be doubling birthweight by six months and triple by one year completion. Gradually introduce all food groups in your child’s daily diet that is healthy and common in your family. Consult your doctor for further assistance in this regard. Good luck and take care.
