Hello doctor my baby boy is of 1 year 4 months and his nose is getting block and due to this he is very restless in sleep what to do I am using otrivin pedia but it gives temporary relief

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever.
Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants .
steam inhalation would be beneficial .
Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold can be given in a proper dose according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
nasal blockage can be relieved by using nasal saline drops like nasoclear saline drops in the nose followed by nasal aspirator to take out the secretions very gently
steam inhalation can also be helpbgful in this condition
