Hello doctor, My 6 year old baby is suffering from severe wet cough. She neither has cold nor fever. Kindly suggest makeup syrup.

Jasmine KaurMom of a 9 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. Hello dear parent, if your paediatric has prescribed you with any particular cough syrup then you can guve that too to your child. Also you can give honitus to your child as that is Ayurvedic and does nkt have much side effects. Consult your doctor if necessary.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. you can give syrup maxtra 5 ml twice daily along with syrup asthalin 5 ml twice daily you can go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger Honey combination which can be diluted with water and given frequently to the child. also you can give turmeric with milk one or two times everyday. give warm water to drink as well as nasal saline drops frequently. avoid giving cold water and cold food or ice cream. try to prevent temperature variations around the child that is from hot to cold and cold to hot environment
