hello doctor my 4year daughter has red eyes and complain of mild headache I am worried please can you suggest me any home remedies or reasons for such situation..

A. kindly maintain hygiene of the eyes and clean it with with clean water. normally simple secretions / allergy redness should not occur again and again. use hygienic cloth as well as your hands should be clean when coming in contact with the child eyes if the child's eyes is sticky with pus discharge or regular discharge coming out you have to meet the doctor. examination is needed in case on eye infection . do not use any drops witout medical consultation there are multiple causes of headache in children and for immediate relief you can give paracetamol which is a good painkiller also. see that the child is consuming plenty of fluids because many times less water in the body can cause headache. the other common causes are nutritional deficiency as well as anemia and decrease sleep and more screen time if going on according to age. paracetamol can be given maximum four times per day but if the problem is occurring again and again please visit the doctor to rule out anyx major pathology
