hello doctor, my 4 months old baby had cold & cough from yesterday, please suggest any medicine & home remedies to relieve his symptoms.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor as there may be some associated factor . As the first line of treatment you can give steam inhalation which would be helpful . Cough Syp should be givengn only after a proper evaltuation .

If Breastfeeding u can add more garlic in ur diet which will help the baby's cold or cough and will also improve lactation. If there is any nasal congestion u can use nasal drops prescribed by ur pediatrician. You cannot do much other home remedies for babies under six months. So if the cold or cough seems to get severe it's good to consult with your pediatrician.
