Q.

Hello doctor. My 20 days old baby girl is habituated to nipple shield as one of my nipples was small after delivery. I managed to get my nipple bigger now. But how do I get her to latch her on normally for breastfeeding from now on? As of now, she does not latch on normally at all and just starts crying when she realises that the shield is not present.

A. You need to help your bbay latch. try you can take help and try to feed your baby. While they hold the baby you can feed the baby and help baby to latch. It would take a few weeks to get trained. Have patience and feed baby. Make sure you sit comfortably and feed baby. Support yourself with cushions an d pillows and you can feed. Also teach your baby to latch slowly.
