hello doctor my 11 month baby girl was suffering with constipation... and doctor advicing me to lactulose oral solution usp.. if it falls then she was pass the motion if not she never passed out the motion.. I continue the medicine regularly plzz suggest me

Constipation is a chronic problem seen in children and most important cause is diet modification so firstly it should be taken care of. give good fibre diet with plenty of liquids and avoidance of food which can aggravauute constipation like Banana excess of milk and maida containing food.
medications like lactulose PEG or glycerine suppository should be second option
