Q.

Hello doctor...mmother of 16 months old baby ....baby ko saturday se fever tha...or motion bh loose tha....ab fever to nai hai but jb bh solid khilate hai...tbhi motion aajata hai.....or jada kha bh nai paarahi hai...koi problem hai kya isko...or week bh ho gae...

A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm spongeji bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

A. It May probably be due to some stomach infection that your child is suffering from which is why this is happening you should get it checked once again with your doctor because a doctor has to provide you with the proper course of medication in order to subside this issue completel
