hello doctor,meri beti 8 saal ki beti ko typhoid aaya hai aaj reports mein,kya treatment chalega uska pls bataiyega

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. in typhoid the treatment is given in the form of antibiotics for at least 10 days. hope you have got culture report done because that will help in taking a decision as which antibiotic needs to be given. along with medicines it is important to maintain proper diet and hydration otherwise vomiting can occur which will decrease the recovery rate. the child needs to be given proper bed rest for 15 to 20 days depending up on the severity.

Typhoid fever lasts seven to 10 days when treated soon after symptoms start. If untreated or if treatment starts later, it can last three weeks or longer. If you have complications or a relapse, it can take longer than that to fully recover.
