if he is exclusively breastfed then constipation is rare.
he will pass stools eventually. do tummy time, cycling motion of legs, do burp properly.
if child becomes irritable , not feeding well , then consult your paediatrician.
formula fed babies may have constipation. so watch for consistency of stools as well.
Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Some babies pass stools once in four or five days while some pass even more than five times a day which are perfectly normal in breastfed babies. Touch and feel the baby's tummy. If it's hard or the baby is cranky or crying more than usual then u should consult with ur pediatrician. If not u can wait upto seven days.
