hello Doctor, it's been 2 days now my baby is continuously coughing and sneezing. please advise what shall we give him

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fevefr is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated afcter 6 hours again if required .

Without consulting the paediatrician you actually cannot go ahead with giving any kind of medication to the child it is absolutely not recommend it so I would advise you to 1st consult your paediatrician and go ahead with the medication suggested by the doctor and aWrite Your Answer Here
