hello doctor I have a question I'm boiling water in an electric kettle for making formula its been 4 months now I haven't washed the inside of the kettle I don't know how to wash I have attached a photo there's some kind of blackish thing you can see in the picture I'm worried should I continue boiling or how can I wash

A. hello mom Use distilled vinegar to clean your kettle. add equal parts water and vinegar to the kettle until it is about halfway full. Bring to a boil; allow the boiled vinegar water mixture to sit in the kettle for 15 or 20 minutes. Pour off the mixture and rinse the kettle. If there are still scales or gunk inside the kettle use the rough side of a sponge to remove anything that is sticking around If your kettle manufacturer states that you should not use vinegar to clean your kettle, you can use lemon instead. Make a solution with lemon and water. Squeeze a lemon into water and then cut up the lemon and place the slices in the water. Fill the kettle with this solution.
