Q.

Hello Doctor, I am 35 weeks and 1day pregnant. I am worried because I am having recurrent UTI. I was detected UTI when I was 29 weeks and 1 day pregnant, my doc gave me antibiotics for a week. But after a week of completion of medicine, I started having UTI symptoms, got tested and found out that I had UTI, did urine culture sensitivity test and my doctor prescribed antibiotics injection and tablets. Every thing was fine until 33 weeks, after 33 weeks I started getting cramps and for the past few days started having painful contraction and started experiencing cramps. Currently I am 35 weeks and 1 day pregnant, went today for routine check up and found out that I have UTI again. I drink lots of water, I maintain hygiene, but I don't know why I am having recurrent UTI. I have Hypothyroidism for which I am taking medicine everyday. Is hormones one of the reason I am having Recurrent UTI? And also today in obstetric scan its mention I have placenta posterior upper segment grade 3 and fetal weight is 2628g. just want to know is everything alright? when I was 29 weeks pregnant fetal weight was 2kg and currently at 35 weeks 1 day it's 2628g. Is recurrent UTI affecting my baby weight? please help.
