hello doctor, Good morning My daughter is 2 years 2 months old. She fell from the chair and got hurt on her forehead. Half of her forehead is swollen. This happened on Monday night around 8.30 pm but she started vomiting yesterday evening at 5 o'clock. Is it because she got hurt on her forehead. Is there something dangerous? She is active and alert. Please answer.

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury fgkoor a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .
