hello Doctor, 9 Months old having 101 fever with running nose. kindly advise for quick remedy. Due to unavailability of pediatricians at this time we are unable to visit them. kindly advise. thanks

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 9 months old and he is having a fever upto 101 degrees so give him frequent breast feeding and syrup paracetamol 2.5 ml three times a day

Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful . Medicines like wikoryl h/ tminic / Ahlex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .
