A. It's okay you can use nipples shield. You can use the suction from a breast pump to help draw out a flat or inverted nipple. Pulling back on your breast tissue may help when breastfeeding with flat nipples or inverted nipples.

A. If you have flat or inverted nipples, your baby may struggle to latch on. Go for a nipple shield that is shaped like an extended nipple, and gives the baby a larger area to latch onto. Feeding through the shield helps draw the nipple out, to make it easier for baby to latch onto the breast.
