Q.
hallo, My baby is 4 month old. i live at Pune. suddenly, he has get fever. yesterday, environment problem was there. now fever is 100 deg celius. we have given dolo drops. cough is random. kindly guide.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symhooptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helfpful .
Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .
