Q.

Hai my baby is born with a pilonidal sinus.. but the opening is slightly closed as she is growing. There is no cyst and infections. No hair present. Is this sinus gets closed or should be treated ?

A. A pilonidal sinus is a small hole or tunnel in the skin at the top of the buttocks, where they divide (the cleft). It does not always cause symptoms and only needs to be treated if it becomes infected.
