gud evening doctor.. as my baby is 20months old.. he fell from bed and got a bump on his forehead... what to do?? what r d specific symptoms i should watch for.. and how long this bump last ?? pplz help

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifesctations occasionally .so Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .

A. hello keep an ice pack immediately which wi prevent from swelling and any discomfort or vomitting in baby then immediately check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly
