goodmorning doctor we are in Oman country here wether is like r not don't my son 4year old cough is not reducing we went so many times to doctor kindly suggest any syrup

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitrussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repdeated after 6 hours again if required .

u can give maxtra syrup for cold and cough to ur baby. Also give steam inhalation by adding vicks vaporub in it..This will help in liquifying mucus and clear the chest congestion.
Give warm tulsi ginger honey water 3-4 times in a day for few days
