Q.

good morning sir sir I need to ask a question related to jaundice actually my daughter is born on 8th September and her jaundice report shows 17 point of direct and indirect bilrubmin and then on doctor advice we provide her 3 day phototherapy and after phototherapy the jaundice report shows 12 point of direct and indirect bilrubmin .

A. neonatal jaundice is there tell two weeks sometimes so still if the level of bilirubin is increase you need to consult your doctor once for a proper assessment also give proper feeding to the baby which is important

A. Jaundice usually appears about 2 days after birth and disappears by the time the baby is 2 weeks old. In premature babies, who are more prone to jaundice, it can take 5 to 7 days to appear and usually lasts about 3 weeks.Breastfeed more often and expose baby in mild sunlight
