good morning sir my daughter name is Naomika age 22 months she has cough and cold and not eating anything i feed her she is splitting what to do sir

Poonam PeshwaniMom of 3 children1 Year agoA. hello,I am mother of 22 month old girl I have to stop breast feeding she wants feeding while sleeping but continuously she needs every 1 hr.she wakes up full night also if she does her tummy full of dinner properly she wakes up till date at night .please suggest how to stop breast feeding??????

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Cough along with Cold and fever most of the time is a viral illness or allergic and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration needs to be maintained. you can give steam inhalation which may be useful .
cough needs to be treated with medicine like anti allergic expectorant bronchodilators antitussives or cough suppresents medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough and need.
In severe cough nebulisation can be given where mjiedicine directly gets dilivered in the respiratory tract.
Also if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose is 15 mg/ kg body weight and can be repeated afterm 6 hours again if required .
Home remedies like Tulsi & ginger mix in honey can be tried for soothing.

NikithaMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. hello you should try to give your child warm fluid base food when the child is not well which can also help to soothe throat and also try to give honey which also can help and give small portion of food frequently which would be a better option
