Q.

good morning, my daughter mahira is suffering frm fever since 5 days...I had done all the blood tests including cbp, CRP,malaria and dengue serology..,all the tests r normal including CRP and dengue is negative..., fever was down for two days..,but again she is suffering frm high temp .so again I reapeted cbp blood test so there is a low platelet count about 180000 and low WBC about 2900 .but there is no dengue it has been 7 days she is suffering frm fever doctors r saying that she has a viral fever so I made her admited in the hospital.., does platelets goes down in viral fever ? still how many days she will be cure , pls help me out doctor waiting for ur reply thank you

A. Yes the platelets can actually go down during the time of viral fever if the fever is really high and the viral infection intensity is really high you know these things are very very much possible but if the doctors have already admitted your child to the hospital do not worry they will give you proper treatment the child should be fine in some days
